Unfortunately we're not accepting applications at this time.
Our manifesto begins with accepting the vicissitudes of the natural world: both its limits and its generosities. The two main hindrances to modern food culture have been expectations and appropriations: the notion that a plate should have x and y components to constitute a proper meal.
These routines have exhausted the supply chain in most food organizations, as certain ingredients are celebrated, while others are relegated. Hawkers wants to soften the mold that has become a stiffened acceptance of edible convention.
We pledge to break down the barriers that comfort zones and habit have restricted us to. We should always be on the quest for food that makes best use of the fragile environment: making more of a mark on our palate, and less of one on the natural world.
